Role Description
The Accounting Executive will be responsible for accounting and bookkeeping for our global clients
Responsibilities
- Ownership of accounting and maintenance of books of accounts
- Preparation, review and reporting of financial statements
- Preparation of account schedules on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Ensure and monitor the closing of books in line with the applicable accounting standards and within the deadlines, after passing accruals and all closing entries
- Making elimination entries of transactions and balances
- Performing translations of foreign currency balances and transactions at month-ends and arriving at exchange gain or loss
- Developing and implementing best accounting practices, processes and systems across the Group
- Dealing with any accounting issues that arise during the month-end process
- Coordinate with auditors, take day to day responsibility for the smooth running of the audit process
- Develop and maintain internal control checklists to facilitate accuracy and integrity
- Independent review of processes to identify scope for efficiency and adherence to internal controls
Qualification and Requirements
- Bachelor of Commerce from a reputed university
- Additional finance qualifications will be added advantage
- Prior experience of preparation of financial statements mandatory
- Past experience with startups or small organisations would be preferable
- Experience in working in ERP environment preferable
- Knowledge of accounting standards of US GAAP, IFRS and Indian GAAP
- Ability to liaise and enforce account closing process and compliance
- Close attention to detail
- Self-motivated and ability to work without supervision remotely
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to turn around things quickly
- Commitment and flexibility to work to tight and demanding deadline
